Group Care for Sexually Reactive Children
Group care treatment provided in a community home for children involved in abuse-reactive behaviours. Individual service plans incorporate a risk assessment, the development of a safety plan, individual and group therapy, and psycho-educational group activities focusing on social skills and personal development. A clinical therapist is involved with each child, and supports are offered to the family.
Am I eligible?
The program is geared to children ages 8 to 12 who have sexualized behaviours. They must have status with Child and Family Services Authority (CFSA) and have been referred to this program by a CFSA worker.

How much will it cost me?
The program is funded by Child and Family Services Authority Region 6. The CFSA assess with the family its capacity to provide financial support towards the child’s care, such as clothes or school expenses.

Program Outcomes
- The child will develop healthier relationships with peers and adults.
- Pro-social skills will have improved and the child will demonstrate a better capacity to maintain appropriate personal boundaries with others and to keep themselves safe.
- The child will have decreased frequency of sexualized behaviours.
- The child will safely and successfully re-integrate into the community.
