Community Endeavours

A vocational program for persons with developmental disabilities who require additional behavioural supports.

Am I eligible?
Community Endeavours is designed for people who have challenges that have prevented them from accessing traditional vocational programs, usually because of the need for additional behavioural supports with lower staff-to-client ratios. Clients must be motivated to learn vocational skills in a community setting and can interact in group settings.

This program is for adults with developmental disabilities who are mobile and are able to take responsibility for getting to and from the program site. Individuals in the program must also be able to feed and toilet themselves.

Where is this service provided?
Edmonton

How much will it cost me?
This program is funded through the Edmonton Community Board for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD). The program requests an additional fee to cover costs associated with individual needs. Most program participants earn enough money through their work at Community Endeavours to cover those costs.

How do I access this program?
  • Contact the Program Manager responsible for intake to inquire about eligibility for the program.
Who do I contact for more information?
Charlotte McKay, Program Manager (780) 701-9478.
