This program provides specialized counselling, support, and outreach services to immigrants and refugees.

This program is free to clients and is funded through the City of Edmonton and the Sign of Hope campaign.

Program Outcomes
  • Immigrants and refugees will strengthen their skills and abilities to manage personal and family difficulties experienced in their adaptation to life in Canadian society.
  • Clients will become familiar with and increase their ability to access resources available to all residents of Edmonton, as well as increase their ability to participate more fully in the community.

Additional Information
Outreach activities include:
  • Learning and Community Enrichment (LACE) Program is delivered through the Edmonton Public Library, clients get a free library card, a tour, and instructions on how to use the library.
  • LETS GO Program is delivered in partnership with the Settlement Orientation Program and it provides hand-on learning about Canadian culture. Participants go on bi-weekly field trips to learn more about the economic, social, and historic aspects of Edmonton and Alberta.
  • Multicultural Senior’s Group provides a meeting place for seniors that fosters relationships and decreases isolation.
