Resettlement Assistance Program
Provides initial settlement services for government assisted refugees. This includes arrangements for temporary accommodation at a local hotel, distribution of food and incidental funds, assistance to locate permanent accommodation, assisting with banking/setting up an account, making arrangements and referral for urgent medical care, registering school-age children, making referrals for Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment, and initial orientation to living and working in Canada.
