Newcomer Children and Youth Program
This program provides support to immigrant and refugee children and youth. The programs offered are specifically designed to address the settlement and integration needs of newcomer children and youth and help them adapt to a new life in Canada.
Who is eligible?
Programs are available for immigrant and refugee children and youth up to the age of 24 as well as their parents.

This service is provided in Edmonton.
What kinds of services are offered?
- Orientation to life in Canada
- Homework/academic help and social support
- Help to access financial, health, education, housing, social and community services
- Information about and referrals to community programs and services
- Youth are directed to online resources (i.e. government resources, support groups) that can be of assistance.
- Assistance with immigration matters
- In-school settlement services
- Supportive counselling and guidance
- Sessions on career and life management during and after high school (offered in conjunction with: Edmonton Public and Edmonton Catholic Schools)

These services are provided at no cost to eligible individuals.
