This is a contract full-time position for 40 hours per week.

Do you want to be a role model for children in care? Catholic Social Services provides extensive group care and emotional supports for children and youth experiencing developmental disabilities. We are seeking dedicated professional caregivers to work within these supportive settings. You are responsible for evaluating the needs of clients, developing service plans, facilitating client contact and home visits, and maintaining medical records and appointments. Building meaningful relationships with clients and the community makes you an effective member of a team dedicated to client care. Successful applicants will be conscientious, resourceful, team-oriented and flexible. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviours is preferred.
 

Your ability to develop creative service plans for children in group care, strong written and oral communication abilities along with your well-developed supervision and program implementation skills  support you in this important role. You are able to manage client groups, work with families, and act as a community liaison. Your Diploma/Degree in Child and Youth Care, Disability Studies (or equivalent) and your strong understanding of developmental disabilities will ensure your success in this position. A vehicle and valid driver's licence are required.
