The Program Coordinator - Outreach manages three volunteer-based Outreach Programs aimed at decreasing isolation for newcomers. These programs include: the Language and Community Enrichment program, English conversation circles run in partnership with the Edmonton Public Library; seniors support program, which offers different activities such as crafts and computer skills; and LETS Go, a summer orientation program that tours prominent sites in Edmonton. As The Outreach Program Coordinator, you are responsible for liaising with other community agencies with the purpose of exploring partnerships and streamlining programs. You also assist with the implementation and administration of the Outreach Programs by ensuring that volunteers are provided with the support they need to work successfully with our clients. Your ability to build rapport with stakeholders allows you to build partnerships in the community, to develop partnerships and to streamline programs.

 

A Degree/Diploma in Human Services (or equivalent), combined with 2 years of related experience provides The Program Coordinator - Outreach with a strong foundation for success. Excellent command of both written and verbal English is essential, and the ability to communicate in other languages is an asset. Applicants must be available to work Saturdays and some evenings.
