This is a full-time position for 38 hours per week.

As a Program Worker II, you work closely with the Team Leader to provide supervision, assessment, and supportive counseling to adults in a residential re-integration program for adults on Day Parole. Supporting daily living, you have an ability to develop client relationships that are based on mutual respect. You have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to write clear, precise and detailed case reports, and liaise with parole officers and agency funders. Using your good decision-making abilities, you respond to difficult client behavior in a non-reactive manner. The support you provide in the absence of the Team Leader will test your supervisory skills. Your responsibility for administration of staff scheduling will be supported by your attention to detail.

 

This position involves a condensed work week with four days on and four days off with rotating overnights, days, evenings and weekends. Your Diploma/Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent as well as your strong addictions background and training or experience with the criminal justice system or adult offenders, and supervision has prepared you for this challenging position
