As a Community Disability Worker your role would promote the independence and self-determination of the individuals in our care. You would enhance the everyday quality of life of persons with developmental disabilities by providing physical assistance, emotional support and personal care, as well as assistance with accessing recreation/leisure activities and community inclusion opportunities. Meal preparation and housekeeping activities would also be included in your work to support individuals.
We are looking for people with the passion to expand the quality of life of another, as well as the following qualifications:
Grade 12 education or equivalent
Some experience in the human services field
Experience with persons with developmental disabilities and with personal care
Class 5 driver's license and driver's abstract
Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search included
Alberta Children's Services Intervention Record Check
The salary range for this position is $16.25 to $17.24 per hour and is calculated based on qualifications. Catholic Social Services also offers an attractive and competitive overall compensation package for our valued staff.
Regular positions over 20 hours per week have access to:
