This is a part-time position for 32 hours per week.

You will be joining an established Agency that is guided by faith to care for and bring hope to people in need with humility, compassion and respect. With more than 50 years of service delivery, Catholic Social Services is one of the largest multi-function social services agencies in Canada, with more than 1600 staff, and 2000 volunteers delivering 130+ programs through Central and Northern Alberta. As a Child and Youth Care Support Worker you play an integral role in fostering and encouraging a compassionate environment for children and youth experiencing disabilities. Your experience working with youth with disabilities who have challenging behaviours enables you to provide support in the areas of behaviour management, life skills, and social skills. Good communication skills and program implementation skills are essential for this challenging position. Your knowledge of autism and experience in providing personal care will ensure your success in this position. Knowledge of sign language is an asset.

As an influential role model, you build effective relationships based on trust, and open communication. Your ability to multitask and work efficiently allows you to support children and youth, prepare them for the future and provide quality care in a comfortable environment.

Your grade 12 diploma or equivalent, combined with some related experience working with children and youth with autism and challenging behaviours will ensure your success in this rewarding position. A vehicle and valid Driver's licence is required for this position.
